"The September Issue" at Sundance Film Festival
For over a year, I was working as the assistant/associate editor for a documentary called "The September Issue" about Vogue magazine and the making of their biggest issue of the year. The film was selected to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, and our first screening was opening night in Salt Lake City. Several members of the crew (above!) came to Utah in support of the film, and it was great to meet some people for the first time and hang out more with others. For our first screening in Park City, Anna Wintour, Vogue's editor-in-chief, came out and participated in a Q&A with our director R.J. Cutler. The film was very well received by audiences, and even won the US documentary Excellence in Cinematography Award. It was a great experience working on the movie, and a wonderful way to wrap up by celebrating at Sundance.
